KING SALMON FISHING ON LAKE MICHIGAN

Lee here. We have ventured to Door County, Wisconsin to spend the week before the the Fourth of July. Door Country is the geographic thumb of the state just above Green Bay. The area is considered one of the top destinations in the Midwest, with very much of a New England feel, quaint villages along many waterfronts, many art galleries, and the lake to enjoy. We settled in with our motorhome at Bailey's Grove Camp just on the edge of Baileys Harbor. Our trip highlights included early morning fishing on the lake for King Salmon and taking in a play at the new Peninsula Players Theater. We fished with one other couple. What an adventure! We split the catch, so we'll be having grilled salmon until our heart's content. The play was the original stage play version of what became the movie "Gaslight." A very well done mystery.
